Description
“Within the Trilateral Monitoring and Assessment Program (TMAP)” four monitoring stations for the monitoring of the macrozoobenthos on the Lütetsburger Plate have been investigated since 1999.
Together with the permanent stations of the NLÖ Coastal Research Centre in Norderneyer Inselwatt, which has existed since 1976, a continuous eulitoral station profile is available from the mainland line to the island watt.
In addition, there has been a permanent station on the Lütetsburger Plate since 1994, especially for the monitoring of stocking, age distribution and area expansion of the mussel Mytilus edulis. This station is part of the Lower Saxony program for the detection of eulitoral mussel deposits.
The results of the 2003 permanent examinations are summarised in this report.”
