Since 1989/90 numerous salt marshes in the Jadebusen and Elisabeth external caves have been investigated by the NLÖ – Forschungsstelle Küste. The results of this work have already been presented in several service reports.
[...] Thus, a wealth of ecological data is now available for the development of clovers in salt marshes from a time series of 10 years unique in their kind. Part A of this service report now provides an overview of the work of the Coast Research Centre on the issue of clovers, especially in the area of III. Oldenburg dike bands. The compilation includes a documentation of the reports and other publications delivered so far, a compilation of the results so far and a description of the current state of work. Results of work in the area of II. Oldb. Dyke bands (southern and eastern Jadebusen) are taken up in addition, if this makes it easier to illustrate fundamental processes of salt marsh and fillet development as well as the range of evaluation approaches than if they were limited to the results of the investigation in the jurisdictional framework of III. However, due to the large volume of the data collected, a complete and final evaluation of all the investigations carried out in the overall investigation area could not yet be carried out.
