As a replacement measure for the landing of the “Europipe” natural gas pipeline by the Accumer Ee, the restoration of the Münster summer pole near Dornum is foreseen on the basis of the planning approval decision of 27 October 1993 by the Oberbegamt Clausthal-Zellerfeld. [...]
Sub-areas of ecological accompanying studies, including vegetation and invertebrate fauna, were transferred to the NLÖ – Coast Research Centre in consultation with the National Park Administration “Lower Saxony Wadden Sea” as coordinating authority.
In order to record the satus quo before the start of the planned renaissance measure, the NLÖ – Coast Research Centre began extensive investigations in 1994, the results of which are presented in this report. The stock surveys include vegetation and floristic mapping as well as the collection of species inventory and abundance of ecologically important invertebrates (spinning, running beetles, bedbugs, cicadas, earthworms, small oligochaetes, aquatic fauna).
