Description
Extensive work on the eulitoral macrozoobenthos was carried out as part of the evidence-keeping investigations on the construction project “Coast Protection Leybuch” in order to investigate the impact of the construction project on the fauna of the adjacent cotton wools. The temporal and spatial aspects of possible changes were recorded.
This interim report provides an overview of the evolution of the eulitoral macrozoobenthos of the Ley Bay and Pilsum neck from December 1989 to September 1995 at 7 appointment stations as well as the colonisation of the entire leybucht wattage in 1995 on the basis of photographs in the winter and summer at 56 stations each. On the basis of these data, the question of changes in cotton fauna as a result of the “Coastal Protection Leybucht” is discussed in conjunction with results from earlier recordings from 1983. [...]
