“This report provides an overview of the vegetation development of the Ley Bay from 1948 to 1996 against the background of already implemented or planned construction measures and changes in use in the area. For this purpose, a comprehensive vegetation mapping of the Ley Bay in the scale of 1:2,500 was carried out in 1995/96. The data have been compared to previous surveys mentioned above. The creation of the vegetation map was carried out with the help of the Geographical Information System (GIS). For the assessment of vegetation development, it is necessary to know and include the essential boundary conditions. Since hydrology, morphology, use, etc. have been subjected to significant natural and anthropogenic changes in recent decades, Chapter 2 first discusses this development in the area of study. [...]»
