Report: ‘Muscle: Parasitic infestation – Lower Saxony coast (1994)»
Description
In recent years, an alaming decline of the mussel (Mytilus edulis) has been registered on the coast of Lower Saxony. As part of this report, general investigations were carried out on the parasitic infestation of two mussel benches in Jadebusen and Norderneyer Watt. In addition, mussel broods were studied by the Lütetsburg Plate, the western Jadebusen and the Janssand for infestation with Trematoden and Mytilicola intestinalis.
