Description
Since 1984, inventories of the Getijdewateren Service and the Coast Research Centre have been running on both sides of the Ems estuary with the aim of presenting the distribution of macrobenthian wadden fauna in a joint report. In this report, only part of the material obtained on the German side is processed, mainly data from the section from the dollart including up to the southern border of the Leybucht. For the subsequent area of the lower areas, quite complete processing of 1979 was taken over largely unchanged, only updated by findings from recent samples. Thus, this report contains a preliminary presentation (still without taking into account the Dutch data) of the Ems estuary from Papenburg to Pilsumer Watt.
