Report: Macrozoobenthos: Neuharlingersiel to Harlesiel (1963)»
Description
In the summer of 1963, the East Frisian wattage from Neuharlingersiel to Harlesiel was examined biologically-sedimentologically in order to design a picture of the cotton and draw conclusions for coastal protection. 347 test stations with the sextant were measured, 192 sediment samples were grain-analytically, as well as for water and lime content. At five stations, 385 water samples were taken at flood and low tide and the sink and salinity content were determined. 14 faunistic samples were recorded qualitatively. A total of 230 kilometres on foot were covered on the wattage and 1360 qualitative investigations were carried out. All the results of the study show that this is a favourable area for
active coastal protection is available and that the fault zone in the middle with sandy watts and 80 cm high demolition edge can be included in the land recovery measures. All factors promise success through active coastal treasure, so that stable decks or the like do not need to be built. The amount of sink in the wattage water is sufficient for sedimentation
in the land reclamation fields.’
