Description
Due to the strong demolition of the foreshore edge in the area
at the Cappeler outer depth it was necessary to examine the watt biological-sedimentologically in order to
to be able to recognise the reasons for the bank demolition and the general tendencies of change of the watt. Biological wattage testing has proven to be suitable for this in recent years, as the soil-inhabiting animals are used as indicators.

During the study, 127 stations were examined on the watt, 10 screen samples in which the fauna was measured quantitatively using a 1 mm mesh sieve.
