Report: “Zostera (Seegrass): Seagrass Capture from aerial photographs – Lower Saxony (2008)”
Description
For the present work, the analogue image material of a nationwide cotton flight from August/September 2008 was visually evaluated with regard to seagrass deposits. The typical manifestations of seagrass stocks and similar structures (algae, mussels, etc.) in aerial photographs are shown. The identified seagrass stocks were digitised in ArcView, their area was calculated and compared with the results of the field surveys from the same year. In addition, the possibilities of the thematic classification of digital image data are briefly outlined using examples. [...]’
