Groundwater Information System (SIAS Andalucía), IGME
Description
The Groundwater Information System (SIAS) integrates selected hydrogeological and auxiliary information, verified, validated and standardized, which were incorporated into the GIS as point, linear and areal entities, along with their associated databases. For the area of Andalusia, the hydrogeological cartography corresponds to the Hydrogeological Atlas of Andalusia (1998) at a scale of 1:400,000. For the provincial areas of Huelva and Seville, a geological synthesis was carried out based on hydrogeological criteria, based on the MAGNA 1:50,000 cartography of the IGME.
It incorporates institutional geo-referenced databases, from CEDEX, Guadalquivir, Sur and Guadiana Hydrographic Confederations, as well as from the IGME. The built-in baseline cartography is that of the Cartographic Institute of Andalusia (ICA) and refers to spindle 30 extended and at different scales. Includes the following vector information: aquifer systems, hydrogeological units, basins, hydrogeology, permeability, hydrogeological contacts, water points, reservoir seating, river seating and weather stations.
The SIAS is information discontinued from the IGME website. The IGME currently uses other applications such as the water point database http://info.igme.es/BDAguas/ which includes measurements (historical and current) of piezometry networks, quality, etc.
