EasyGSH-DB: Sedimentology (WFS)

Description

The feature service EasyGSH-DB: Sediment (WFS), contains the Petrographic maps of the main and secondary components and the isolines of the median grain diameter d50 for the years 1996 (DB/AWZ), 2006 and 2016. Data generation: The basis for sedimentological evaluations are surface sediment samples, which were interpolated from incremental samples of different years to a grid valid for one year by means of anisotropic interpolation methods and taking into account hydrodynamic factors and erosion and sedimentation processes. At each of these grid nodes, the sediment distribution is therefore available as a sum curve. For the German Bight this basic product is available for the years 1996, 2006 and 2016 in the 100 m grid, for the Exclusive Economic Zone of Germany for the year 1996 in the 250 m grid.
