Urban waste water treatment; technical characteristics of installations
Description
This table contains figures on urban or public sewage treatment plants managed by water or treatment boards. The table gives a count of the numbers and capacity of the urban waste water treatment plants, by treatment type, according to the following selections:
- applied method of phosphate removal.
- applied method of nitrogen removal.
- method of sludge stabilization (fermentation/demineralization) used.
- applied method of sludge dewatering (the dimension method of sludge dewatering was expanded in 2018 with a new item: Screw press).
- type and form of management of surface water discharged.
Data available from: 1981.
Status of figures:
The figures in this table are final.
Changes as of 22 April 2024:
Figures for 2022 have been added to the table.
When will there be new figures?
The figures for 2023 will be published in March 2025.
