Description
This table contains figures on urban or public sewage treatment plants managed by water or treatment boards. During wastewater treatment, a residual product is created, the sewage sludge. The quantity and destination of the sewage sludge released is shown in this table. The data are broken down by province and part of the country.

When will there be new figures?
As of statistical year 2016, the figures in this table are compiled only once every 2 years. Figures for 2024 will be published in March 2026.
