Emissions of air pollutants according to NEC Directive, 1990-2021
Description
This table contains figures on emissions of air pollutants, calculated according to the European NEC Directive (NEC = National Emission Ceilings). It concerns emissions to air from stationary and mobile sources in the Netherlands of ammonia (NH3), nitrogen oxides (NOx), sulphur dioxide (SO2), particulate matter (PM10; particles with a diameter of less than 10 micrometres), fine Fabric (PM2.5; particles with a diameter of less than 2.5 micrometres). carbon monoxide (CO) and volatile organic compounds, excluding methane (NMVOC). In this table, emissions from the Tata Steel coke plant (Hoogovens) are included in the base metal industry (and therefore not in the energy sector) and emissions from road traffic and fisheries are based on the marketing of motor fuels.
