Wildlife Passages

Description

In a first phase, the FOEN used the available data to record the wildlife passages on the national road and rail network. Consideration was given to artificial structures that were specially built, widened or redesigned to allow wild animals to migrate. Passages for medium and small animals were not taken into account. The passages were divided according to their typology (overpasses or underpasses). The "Wildlife Passages" layer will be updated based on the projects implemented by ASTRA as part of its sub-programme for the rehabilitation of wildlife corridors.
