Potential areas for the storage of compressed air in Schleswig-Holstein
Description
The map shows potential areas for the installation of compressed air storage in salt caverns in the Schleswig-Holstein mainland area and the location of the salt structures in the subsoil. In order to delineate horizons worthy of investigation for compressed air storage in salt caverns, the depth of the salt dome roof (top of the Zechstein and Rotliegend deposits) up to 800 m below NHN served as the maximum depth acceptable for the insulation of caverns (current knowledge).
