Corine Land Cover Switzerland 1990
Description
As Switzerland’s contribution to European cooperation, to promoting the Euro-compatibility of Switzerland’s environmental data, to solving interesting scientific issues and to gathering broad experience in a specific application of area statistics, in 1997, BFS and BUWAL jointly produced data on soil cover in Switzerland on the basis of area statistics 1979/85, whose 13 categories are compatible with the aggregation level 2 of the European CORINE Land Cover 1990 programme. The result is a raster dataset with a cell size of 250 m and a polygon dataset with a minimum polygon area of 25 ha.
