Description

This product consists of polygons representing the main river basins that flow into Sweden. The original definition of a main catchment area consisted of areas that have their mouth in the sea and measure an area of at least 200 km². The new base does not always meet the size criterion, but since the division of the main river basins is generally accepted, it has been maintained, albeit with updated limits. The product main catchment areas based on version SVAR 2022:1.1, contains: 111 polygons representing the main Swedish catchment areas.
