Nature reserves in Hamburg

Description

The protected area boundaries of the nature reserves are provided as vector coordinates according to the coordinate system EPSG:25832. Hamburg is at the forefront of the designation of nature reserves nationwide. More than 8 % of its land area is currently nature reserves (NSG), a value that no other federal state reaches even nearly. In addition to the Hamburg Wadden Sea National Park, nature reserves are the most strictly protected natural areas in Hamburg. Here, the objectives of nature conservation and landscape maintenance have as far as possible even absolute priority over all other uses.
