Property, Society of Benevolence (history)
Description
In the municipality of Westerveld lies the mining colony of the Society of Benevolence. These are generally the grounds in and around the cores Frederiksoord and Wilhelminaoord. In addition, Boschoord is part of the mining colony (this is the northeast plane). The grounds of the Society of Benevolence have been classified as a Belevedere area. The province, municipality and the Society are working together on an area vision. The Rijksdienst Monumentenzorg has designated the area as a protected villagescape to be translated into a zoning plan in 2009.
