Shipping routes TSS IMO 2020
Description
The Danish Maritime Authority, in cooperation with the Danish Transport Authority in Sweden and the nautical chart authorities, has drawn up a vessel routing scheme (TSS — Traffic Separation Scheme) for the Skagerrak and Kattegat, which intends to manage shipping traffic on routes that guide and differentiate oncoming traffic better than is the case today, thus making the voyage more predictable. The route system has been adopted by the IMO and will enter into force on 1 July 2020, while new charts will be released with the new route system.
