Description
This file displays the central section and zoning LOFAR (Low Frequency Array), The Eyes of the Earth. It is an inner and outer ellipse with its own limitations, as in the Provincial Environment Plan Drenthe adopted on 7 July 2004. POPII, map 4.LOFAR (Low Frequency Array), is a unique ICT project that originated from the ambition of Dutch astronomers to observe the very beginning of our universe. This requires a radio telescope that is 100 times more sensitive than the current telescopes. LOFAR develops this radio telescope as a network of tens of thousands of sensors. These small antennas are distributed over an area with a diameter of 350 kilometers and connected to a supercomputer via a vast fiber optic network.
