Vulnerability and risk groundwater protection areas (history)
Description
Groundwater protection areas are defined as zones extending from the water extraction area (60-day zone) to the 25-year zone. The outer border is based on a 25-year stay of groundwater in the aquifer package before it is pumped up for drinking water extraction.
