First results of the sediment analysis of the Emscher formation in the Waltrop 1 bore with particular consideration of the clay mineralology
Description
The drill core intersection 16 – 71 m of the Waltrop 1 hole at the north-eastern site exit of Waltrop was examined lithologically and geochemically-minerologically in the area of the Emscher Formation (Obersantonium) at the Emscher Formation (Obersantonium). The focus was on the determination of the tone content and the detailed analysis of the tone mineralology using X-ray diffractometry, taking into account the proportion of swellable clay minerals.
