REDIAM. WMS Horizons and Visual Resources. Andalusia Visibility System
Description
WMS service corresponding to the identification of the main visible elements (mainly geomorphological in nature) that make up scenic backgrounds representative of the whole of Andalusia and each of its provinces. This identification exercise starts from the idea that the spatial configuration of the territory and its reliefs structure the visual space perceived by the human being, configuring landscapes or visual resources as natural cornices that function as scenic backgrounds of urban centers, slopes of very characteristic valleys, or very frequent visual horizons (seen from many points), and that these can be described spatially by certain parameters. The present content has the cartographic information of Visual Resources, in which three types of zones have been identified: very high visual exposure, high visual exposure, and moderate visual exposure; and of visual horizons, in which representative lines of horizons with a high visual frequency have been identified and which we have called persistent horizons.
