Description
This map layer is part of the version of the Provincial Environmental Ordinance Drenthe adopted on 3 October 2018. (Corresponding map D7). On the map hard boundaries between city and country are marked at the edges of Assen, Hoogeveen and Meppel. There, the cities border on landscape and cultural-historical values. The Drentsche Aa (Assen), the Oude Diep (Hoogeveen) and the Reest (Meppel) are iconic for the spatial quality of Drenthe. We want to preserve and strengthen these values. We do not consider expansion of the neighbouring cities to be desirable here.
