In this topic, the course of the first-order rivers, the second-order rivers and the artificial rivers in Dresden are shown as axis lines. The water axes are divided into sections.
For the individual waters/sections, the following factual information is offered:
Water name (GEWNA); unique water number (GWNR); unique section number (ABNR), water code (GEWKZ) and area code (GEBKZ) in accordance with the LAWA Directive, a classification of whether it is a main body of water that should also be shown in overview maps (HGEW); Indication of whether the water is piped or open (ROHR and ROHR_ERL); Water governance (ORND_KZ and ORDN); location of the start (source, start) and end (mouth, end) of the water body; total length of the body of water in km (LAENGEGES_KM); Information on the basis on which the course of the water was determined, e.g. surveying, ortho-image, TK (BASIC), information on the creator of the individual lines, e.g. environmental office or a specific company (source) as well as change data.
The section numbering (ABNR) is carried out in the opposite direction of flow, the estuary section of each body of water has the section number GWNR/1.
