Distance and management requirements for agricultural land in waters according to DüV, PflSchG, WHG, ThürWG and ThürDüV

For Thuringian farms, the management, fertilisation and plant protection of agricultural land on water bodies has changed fundamentally since 2020 as a result of various changes in fertilising, plant protection and water law at federal and state level.
In order to facilitate the implementation of these various regulations and to support farms in their significant contribution to water protection, the TLLLR has developed a GIS solution on behalf of the Thuringian Ministry of Infrastructure and Agriculture (TMIL). For this purpose, the upper edges of the embankment of waters I. and II. Order digitised and the slope inclination determined using a terrain model. In conjunction with the legal requirements and the formation of segments, the distance and management scenarios in the waters can now be mapped for all agricultural areas involved in the Thuringian field block system. The scenes are updated annually on February 1st.
