Version of geological monuments adopted by Provincial Staten van Drenthe on 3 October 2018. A geography monument is a striking example of a geography phenomenon, such as the Havelterberg and the Drouwenerzand. As part of an awareness process to preserve the archival value of the soil and to preserve and strengthen the landforms, which are characteristic of the Drenthe landscape.
