Quiet area (OGV, 2010) (history)
Description
This file shows the quiet areas as in the Environment Vision, map 2C (Silence and Darkness) adopted by Provincial States on June 2, 2010. The province has the task of identifying and protecting quiet areas.
This can be done under the Environmental Management Act or Noise Obstacle Act.
Not every area is eligible for this.
The criteria that an area must meet are, for example, that it is larger than 500 hectares and that there is already some peace.
The area should also have a recreational function or be of interest to fauna and nature and environmental objectives.
