Description
This layer contains the morphological assessment of river banks and streambeds (ecomorphology) on the main Jura rivers. These surveys reflect the state of the stream, natural/semi-natural, little reached, very reached, artificial or underground. The ecomorphology map illustrates the quality of rivers as terrestrial and aquatic living environments for fauna and flora. It makes it possible to highlight sections of streams with natural dynamics and those that have lost it over time. Artificial barriers (thresholds, dam, etc.) and natural obstacles (waterfall,...) to fish migration are also identified two methods of land surveying are used: Ecomorphology level R and Ecomorphology level C. The first allows an overall assessment of the state of a watercourse while the second differentiates the structural notes, equivalent to aquatic habitat, from space, i.e. shorelines as terrestrial habitat. Obstacles to migration are, for their part, represented by a one-off sign.
