Austria ́s National Air Emission Projections 2017 for 2015, 2020 and 2030
Description
This report covers the results for projections of the air pollutants sulphur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen oxides (NOx), non-methane volatile organic compounds (NMVOC), ammonia (NH3) and particulate matter (PM2.5) under the scenario “with existing measures” (WEM). It updates the previous projections for air pollutants published in 2015 (REP-0556). The WEM scenario results in significant reductions in emissions from 2005 to 2030 for all pollutants except NH3. The most substantial reduction (about 66%) is projected for the pollutant NOx. Emission reductions for the other pollutants range from 24% to 48 %; NH3 emissions, however, are projected to increase by 8%.
