Topographic map 1 : 25 000 precursor (TK25)
Description
In the (historical) TK25 surface colours, signatures, inscriptions as well as abbreviations of the object types settlements, supply and disposal, traffic, vegetation, waters, relief and borders are used. Contour lines and numerous elevation points give an exact image of the surface shapes. The thematic colour scheme of the map clearly divides the depicted landscape. The reference system of the TK25 is the European Terrestrial Reference System 1989 (ETRS89), which corresponds to the worldwide geodetic system 1984 (WGS84). The Universal Transversal Mercator Projection (UTM) is used as an illustration. The map bears the data and the grid of the UTM coordinates (East/North). In addition, the geographical coordinates (length/width) and the Gauss-Krüger coordinates (right/high) are also displayed in the map frame.
