Focus areas of wind power sensitive species
Description
The emphasis on wind-sensitive species is a national planning aid tailored specifically to regional planning. The focal points are areas within the ranges of legally protected, wind-sensitive bird and bat species, which are differentiated according to two categories. Category A are selected natural protection areas of very high quality and category B are selected areas of high-quality nature conservation. When identifying priority areas for wind energy, species protection concerns can be taken into account in a standardised manner.
