KVF NRW – artificially altered areas in North Rhine-Westphalia
Description
The data set forms a nationwide catalogue of “artificially modified”, i.e. anthropogenicly influenced areas in North Rhine-Westphalia and serves as a template for the construction of project-related artificially altered areas within the framework of the Integrated Geological Land Survey (IGL). It is the result of a survey completed in 2010 for the entire state area of North Rhine-Westphalia on the collection, delimitation and typification of areas that have undergone a (relief) change derived from the data and map bases. Here, areas using uniform methods on the basis of historical topographic maps in a scale of 1:25.000 from the Prussian primeval to the present, the German base map 1:5.000, aerial images in a scale of 1:5.000 and based on DGM data were identified. For use in the IGL, the areas are checked, updated to the project status and mapped to 1:50.000 scale. Available map themes: artificially altered land with a size of more than one hectare.
