Description
The KNMI operates 48 automatic weather stations in the Netherlands: 13 at airports, 14 on North Sea platforms (Dutch part of the continental shelf of the North Sea) and 21 on land. There are also 5 KNMI wind masts in the coastal area (RWS wind masts are not included). These weather stations report meteorological parameters about temperature, relative humidity, wind, atmospheric pressure, visibility, precipitation, clouds and weather codes every 10 minutes. The number of parameters per station varies. Only stations that report within 6 minutes after the observation time are part of this dataset. A 10-minute synoptic weather observation remains available for only 24 hours.
