Hunting Plan of the Alcornocales Game Area
Description
The Alcornocales Game Area is located in the southernmost tip of Andalusia, and comprises part of the natural regions of the Sierra de Cádiz (or Aljibe), La Janda and Campo de Gibraltar. The total area of the area is 199,096 hectares, most of it in the province of Cádiz, with 93.8% (186,790 ha) with 15 municipalities included in it and 6.2% in the province of Malaga (12,306 ha) with only 1 municipality.
The Plan began to be drafted in October 2007 and has been approved by Order of 27 July 2012 of the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and the Environment and published in Boja on 9 August of the same year. The Cinegetic Area can be defined as a geographical territory of variable extension, environmental and hunting homogeneously, with similar vegetation and land uses and, in turn, different from other neighboring areas. Each hunting area will have a Hunting Plan that, according to Decree 182/2005, is the basic instrument for planning, planning and hunting management in geographically and ecologically homogeneous territorial areas, whether hunting or not, to which the Technical Hunting Plans included in their territorial scope must necessarily comply.
