Description
The documents were produced as part of the preliminary investigation for the expansion of the Rostock sea canal to a depth of NHN -16.xx meters.
For the first procedural step in accordance with Section 5 of the UVPG, the documents contain the proposal of the project promoters on the scope of the UVU investigation, including the documents that are expected to be provided for this purpose. The scoping documents are part of the environmental assessment, a legally prescribed procedure for the assessment of environmental concerns in land-use planning. Authorities and other public authorities are invited to comment at an early stage with regard to the required scope and level of detail of the environmental assessment.
The scoping documents bring together what can reasonably be required from the concrete environmental assessment according to the current state of knowledge and data of the authorities as well as generally accepted test methods. The test procedure primarily covers the protected assets of the environment such as humans, animals and plants, soil, water, climate, air and their interactions.
