EU bathing waters of Saxony
Description
The map service represents the EU bathing waters of the Free State of Saxony. These are lakes and dams that are reported to the European Commission as waters subject to surveillance — so-called “EU bathing waters”. EU bathing waters are highly frequented lakes and dams, which usually have good infrastructure and where bathing is expressly permitted on the part of the authorities. These waters are characterised by excellent water quality. The bathing waters to be monitored are published annually in the Saxon Official Journal.
