Description
The data set presents the risk to the rail infrastructure caused by landslides in a spatially differentiated manner. This product of the risk of landslides is the result of the research project "Development of an engineering geological hazard warning map for landslides and embankments along the German rail network" of the Federal Railway Office as part of the work of the BMDV expert network in the field of climate change impacts and adaptation (bmdv-expert network.de). The factual information and hazard classes are provided exclusively for the rail infrastructure sector. The data basis for this is the data set “geo-strecke”, which is provided by Deutsche Bahn (DB) under the license Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) (http://data.deutschebahn.com/dataset/geo-strecke). The potential hazard zones and buffers (0 m and 50 m) are shown in relation to the hazard classes greater than or equal to 10 (see final report ‘Preparation of an engineering geological hazard warning map for slope and embankment slides along the German rail network’ - Eisenbahn-Bundesamt: 11vb/018-0099#22; p. 100). The attribute ‘Gef_ber’ has been added and the direct influence zone (0) and a buffer of 50 m (50) have been taken into account in three classes divided into zones of hazard class >= 10. Areas with a lower calculated hazard class or outside the buffer are encoded with “999”.
