Areas of Natural Risks Hesse — Drain Areas_HQ100_to_HWG
Description
Floodplains during flooding in Hesse: Designation according to the Water Resources Act (WHG) §74 and according to WHG §76 (or §45 Hessisches Wassergesetz (HWG)). These areas represent areas within the legal flood zones of a 100-year flood in waters I. and II. It’s okay. In these flooding areas, a distinction is made between areas in which the water flows recognizably and where the water is more or less, or only flows off lately. The demarcation of the drainage areas is based on local conditions. However, a flow velocity greater than or equal to a quarter of the average flow velocity is used as a rough approximation.
