File contains an overview of geologically valuable areas in Gelderland that are of (inter)national, provincial or regional importance. Geologically valuable areas are, for example, drift sand areas, dams, floodplains, peatlands and sand ridges. These areas tell something about their natural way of creation. They have a relationship with the geological structure, the geomorphology (land forms), the geohydrology and/or the soils of an area. They can also be valuable because of their connection with ecology, cultural history, water quality and/or landscape image.
