Ground map of Lower Saxony 1 : 50 000 - Groundwater level (WMS service)
Description
The groundwater level of soils (GWS) describes the degree of influence of near-surface groundwater on the development of soils and the processes that occur in the soil. A low GWS characterises a high groundwater level and thus a high influence of groundwater on the soil. The GWS will be taken from the Lower Saxony Ground Map 1: 50 000 (BK50) derived from the predominant mean groundwater highest (MHGW) and mean groundwater depths (MNGW). It characterises the influence of groundwater with the help of a key figure.
