The residual thickness of the Oberjura (Malm) in the duck beak
Description
The maximum thickness between the Upper Jura base and the top of the formation is about 2 250 m and is reached in the southwest in the John Basin. Two other local maxima, one south-east of the Carola salt structure and the second maximum on the western flank of the salt diapire Clara, show widths of up to 2 000 m. The smallest widths are reached in the northwest of the duck beak and along the Schillgrund high.
