Description
Inventory of historically important areas in the landscape. Historical geography is the spatial account of the adaptations that man has made over the centuries to the natural environment. Examples are old arable complexes (‘bully fields’ with Esdekken), heathlands, estates. The contemporary Brabant landscape is the historical result of a centuries-long development. This map layer contains a selection of areas that illustrate this historical growth well. The areas are provided with a description and one or more photos. The Cultural History Value Card was definitively adopted by GS van Noord-Brabant on 26 September 2006.
