Special plans and archiving in the data model-based building permit process.
The pilot proposal included the same group as the pilot project “Information model-based building permit in the apartment building project” carried out in autumn 2017. The group consisted of three cities – Vantaa, Hyvinkää and Järvenpää, and four system suppliers/consultants – Gravicon Oy, Evolta Oy, Solibri Oy and Sova 3D Oy. The construction company Lehto Group Plc was also involved, which used BIM-based design in the projects.
In the first pilot project, the use of data models was tested specifically during the permit application phase. In the next project, the experiment was extended to the submission of special plans after the authorisation has been granted by means of data models and to the archiving of data models by the authorities.
The projects had been selected for apartment buildings in Lehto Group’s Housing service area. The projects were modelled in accordance with the BIM guidelines based on Lehto Group YTV, and the planning also took into account the use in the permit process. The first pilot project developed practices and incorporated them into the work of the designers. The aim of the next project was to develop existing modelling guidelines and audit rules and document them in the form of the designer’s instructions.
