Database of geognostic and geophysical surveys
Description
The database of geognostic and geophysical surveys in kmz format derives from the collection of surveys that was made for the realization of geological maps and local seismic hazard of Umbria.
All data collected are public in accordance with paragraph 3 of Article 20 of Umbria Regional Law No. 30 of 12 August 1998. The product made available allows easy accessibility and dissemination through **Google Earth**, making immediately accessible the information on geognostic and geophysical surveys for the entire territory of the Umbria Region.
The contents are freely available with the obligation to cite the source of the data in the case of re-use. With the different methods of consultation (geographical reference or numerical list) it is possible to view the locations of the surveys for each of the 265 areas corresponding to the regional technical maps. After opening the single area you can open the folder that has as file name the number of the regional technical card and then put the "tick" sign on the information levels that you want to see as, for example, on that of the legend. You can then see in transparency the information levels on the satellite image using the commands that regulate the opacity / transparency of Google Earth. The symbols used in the legend comply, as far as possible, with the *"Standards for the representation and archiving of information - Seismic Microzonation"*, version 3.0 of the Technical Commission for Seismic Microzonation (Article 5(7) of OPCM No 3907 of 13 November 2010). Clicking on the locations of the individual surveys you can view the available information relating to the chosen survey and then clicking on the link indicated will open the original document of the survey in pdf format.
