Base Areas Midmiocene Discordance
Description
The middle miocene discordance (neogen) marks a strong erosion event. Only in the area of the salt wall Lisa/Lollo this area was disturbed. High altitudes are mainly located along the salt structures, while the largest depth is reached in the central section west of the Lollo/Lisa salt wall. The interpretation of the discordance area above this salt structure is difficult due to reduced seismic dissolution and severely disturbed sections.
