Description
An area of influence is an area at the surface of the day in which mining measures can theoretically cause mountain damage. A typical example is possible reductions.
More details on the area of influence are listed in ยง 120 of the Federal Mining Act (BBergG) and are regulated by the Mining Ordinance on Areas of Influence (Einwirkungsbereichs-Bergverordnung - EinwirkungsBergV). It applies to all underground mining operations, drilling operations and underground storage with the exception of pore storage.
