Areas of action

An area of influence is an area at the surface of the day in which mining measures can theoretically cause mountain damage. A typical example is possible reductions.
More details on the area of influence are listed in § 120 of the Federal Mining Act (BBergG) and are regulated by the Mining Ordinance on Areas of Influence (Einwirkungsbereichs-Bergverordnung - EinwirkungsBergV). It applies to all underground mining operations, drilling operations and underground storage with the exception of pore storage.
